CSISS Geospatial Web Services index
Raster_TopographicIndexService
This service is used to create topographic index map from elevation map.
Operation:
topidx
- creates topographic index (wetness index), ln(a/tan(beta)), map from elevation map
where
a: the area of the hillslope per unit contour length that drains through any point,
tan(beta): the local surface topographic slope (delta vertical) / (delta horizontal).
Request Parameters:
sourceURL
URL of input raster elevation file
Default format:
GeoTIFF
outputGeoTiffType
Type of output GeoTIFF file. The output Format Type is specified as GeoTIFF
Parameter format:
string
Options:
Byte, Int16, UInt16, UInt32, Int32, Float32, Float64, CInt16, CInt32, CFloat32, CFloat64
Response Parameters:
returnURL
URL of output topographic index map
returnFormat
Format of output topographic index map
Default:
GeoTIFF
